Joe was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio.  He has always had a love for the arts.  Joe began drawing at the age of 6 and found himself compelled to do so over most other activities.  He enjoys solving problems visually and is naturally good at it.  Joe's life goal in the 6th grade was to become an Architectural Engineer and leave a legacy of significant contributions to the world via the fruits of his designs.

In 1991, Joe graduated from the University of Cincinnati with two degrees, an A.S. in Architectural Technology and a B.S. in Architectural Engineering Technology.  He was also commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force.  A few years after graduating from college, he was named as 1 of the 175 Distinguished Alumni for UC's College of Applied Science.  His selection was in commemoration of the university's 175 years of existence.  In 2001, Joe earned a M.S. in Management, Information Technology from Lesley College, Cambridge Massachusetts.

Joe's current reality is slightly altered from his 6th grade vision and even from what he expected after high school and college graduation.  What has remained ever present throughout his life is his love for the arts.  Joe began creating art because he was good at it and it challenged him to be better.  His works can be found on display in both public and private collections across the United States.
